Research Interests
My group's research ranges from synthesis and fundamental reactivity
of coordination compounds to the design of biodegradable polymers for
new applications in commodity materials and medicine. Graduate and undergraduate
students learn to design and synthesize unique inorganic compounds which
they utilize to develop new stoichiometric and catalytic chemical transformations.
We strive to understand the mechanistic details of reactions in order to
manipulate selectivities in catalytic transformations. In the course of
graduate study, group members are exposed to modern inorganic chemistry
and become well-versed in synthesis, as well as crystallographic and spectroscopic
methods. For more detailed information in a particular area, please select
