Research Program Highlights
Online registration is now closed.
Location: It will be held in the Chemistry Building on the Michigan State University campus, which is at the corner of Shaw Lane and Science Drive.
Plenary Lecture: Professor Melissa M. Strait, Alma College, will describe her recent research in Antarctica on meteorites.
Poster Sessions: Undergraduate students from Great Lakes area states will present their research during two poster sessions (one hour each). They will have the opportunity to discuss their work with students, faculty, and other conference attendees.
Workshops: Hands-on experiences with modern "tools of the trade" and tours of national research facilities will be available during two one-hour workshop sessions. Participation in the workshops and tours is limited to conference registrants, and sign-up for the workshops will be on the morning of the conference in the Chemistry Building lobby.
Networking: Networking is one of the prime benefits of attending a research conference. In addition to the poster sessions and lunch, there will be ample mingling time for students and faculty during the program.
Gala Lunch: The ever-popular GLCCC lunch will again be held for all conference registrants at no additional cost.
The registration area will be open at 8:00 am on April 13, with refreshments available (coffee, tea, juice, doughnuts).
The formal program will begin at 9:15 am with welcoming remarks, and it will conclude at approximately 4:15 pm following the plenary lecture.
An MSU campus map and a Lansing area map are available online.
