Keki Mistry has been a scientific glassblower for 44 years. He started his apprenticeship in Cambridge, England in 1951. After five years as an apprentice, he became a junior glassblower. Eight years later, he became a senior master glassblower. He continued to work as a glassblower in England until his emigration to the U.S., specifically Chicago.
Keki was hired by MSU in 1967. Six months later he was in charge of MSU's glassblowing lab. While at MSU, Keki has been pictured in several area newspapers, and has been published in national magazines such as Scientific American, and Fusion, a glassblowing trade magazine.
